5 favourites – September

September will be gone by tomorrow, and I can’t believe that the first month of autumn is already gone. I’ve been busy with uni the past month and it’ll continue in October; I have exams in a couple of weeks. I’m also going on an exciting trip in about a week and a half, but more about that later. And now let’s talk about some of my favourite things from September.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit (light to medium): I wrote here that I loved the three shades I’d tried at that point, and since then I’ve tried the other shades as well, and they’re just as good. This contour kit is really nice, and I’ve used it every day since I received it.

MAC eye shadow in Satin Taupe: I’d been craving this eye shadow for over a year I think, when I got it for my birthday in August, and I’ve worn it countless times since. It’s so beautiful, and I love how it can be worn both in a very subtle way and in a more intense way.

Silver earrings with hearts: I love rediscovering clothes, or make-up, or in this case jewellery. I got these earrings for my 12th birthday, right after I got my ears pierced, but I’ve never worn them much until this month. I’ve probably worn them 3-4 times a week the past month, and I love how simple and cute they are.

Inside-Out

Inside Out (film): As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love Disney films, and I’d heard so many good things about this new Pixar one. I went to see it with a friend of mine in the beginning of September, and it was so good! One of the best Pixar films in my opinion.

Black Magic – Little Mix: I’ve never listened to any other Little Mix songs, and I don’t really listen to new pop music in general, but this song is just so damn catchy. Maybe it’s because it has kind of an 80’s vibe to it?:)

Favourite fashion blogger

I rarely make ‘inspiration’ posts anymore, mainly because that’s what my tumblr is for, but I thought I would start posting people or things that I find beautiful and inspiring on the blog again sometimes. I’ve made a post about the gorgeous Swedish blogger Angelica Blick before, but she’s still my favourite fashion blogger, so I thought I would share some of her newer outfits with you. She always looks great, and I love how her style is very versatile.

Dark autumn lips

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. One of the things I love most about autumn is that it’s very appropriate to wear dark lip colours, and this burgundy one is one of my favourites.

Dark eyes

Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to do a dark eye make-up which I don’t do very often, but I think it looked nice with the black and white outfit. I thought about pairing the dark eyes with a really bright lip colour, but decided to go with something a bit more subtle to keep the focus on the eyes.

(Base: primer – Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro primer 002, foundation – L’Oréal Infallible 24H-Matte foundation (shade: 11 Vanilla), concealers – MAC Pro Longwear concealer (shade: NC20) + Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear concealer (shade: Fair 1), powder – Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks contour kit (highlight shade). Face make-up: contour/bronzer – Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks contour kit (contour shade) + The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing powder (shade: 02 fair matte), blusher – MAC Mineralize blush in Modest Blush, highlighter – the Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – Stila In the Light eye shadow palette (shades: Bliss + Ebony + Luster + Kitten) + MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Lightscapade (on browbone), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – Sephora Long lasting kohl pencil in 07 Infinite beige. Lips: Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in 200 I’ll Call You)

Partying in black and white

Here’s what I wore at a party Saturday September 5. As you might have noticed my past 3-4 party/going out outfits have been quite simple and comfortable. I don’t know why, but that’s just what I’ve been loving to wear partying lately. It does allow me to really play around with make-up which is always fun.

ABH contour kit

Finally it’s mine! I’ve been wanting to get my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for so long and last month I finally ordered it of Beautybay.com. It took a while before I received it, but now I have time to really play around with it. I’ve only tried half the shades (Vanilla, Banana, and Fawn) so far, but I love them, and I can’t wait to try out the other half.
