5 favourites – September

There’s only a few hours left of September which has been a great, but busy month for me. Studying has been taking up most of my time, but I’ve had time to party and hang out with awesome people (friends as well as family) as well. Before we jump into October I want to share a few of my favourite things from September with you.

Creepers by The Fabulous Creepers: As I wrote when I first bought these creepers, I had been on the hunt for the perfect pair, and I’m pretty sure these might be it. I’ve worn them quite a lot this month compared to how many shoes I’ve got, and I’ve already posted one outfit wearing them, and I have a couple of more to show you.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation: My skin has been in a bad condition lately, so I’ve been needing a bit more coverage than usual. I’ve been wearing this foundation almost every day for the past 1,5 month. It’s a light coverage foundation, so you can still see the skin through the product which I love and it still covers up blemishes (to some extent). I use it together with my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer for even more coverage.

1_pocket_garden

Pocket Garden (iPad game): I love playing all sorts of games and pretty much all I’ve been playing the past month (when I’ve had the time) is Pocket Garden on my iPad. I’m obsessed with this game! You basically have you own garden where you grow all sorts of veggies, fruits, flowers, and so on, and then you take orders from restaurants etc. that you have to complete. Love it!

ally mcbeal

Ally McBeal – season 1 + 2: I love watching TV-series and this past month I’ve been watching the first two seasons of Ally McBeal (I’m currently watching the 3rd season). I didn’t think I would enjoy this series as much as I am, but it’s actually very entertaining. I’ve borrowed all three seasons from my mum and I would usually take a picture of the DVD covers but I already gave her back the first two seasons. She doesn’t own the last two seasons, so it might be a while before I get to watch them.

Call Me Irresponsible (album) – Michael Bublé: I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned it before but I’m a huge fan of Michael Bublé’s music. I bought this album about a year ago I think and I’ve loved it all along, but this month in particular I’ve been listening to it a lot. This music just gets me in such a great mood. I love all the songs on the album, but thought you should start by listening to the title song (if you want to of course).

Favourite beauty YouTubers

I watch a lot of YouTube videos, and I thought I would share my favourite beauty channels with you (in a random order).

First off we got Beauty Broadcast and Beauty Broadcast Express. On her main channel Emily does make-up tutorials, hauls, top 10’s, best in beauty and much more. She makes videos about both high end and drugstore make-up. Her express channel consists of only short reviews which can be very helpful when considering bying a product.

Another favourite beauty channel of mine is Pixiwoo by Sam and Nic Chapman. If you are looking for a specific celebrity make-up tutorial or another specific tutorial (such as a wedding or prom make-up) this is the place to go. The sisters are so talented and they are the masterminds behind the Real Techniques brushes.

Then we have Shaaanxo. This New Zealander got an enviable make-up collection. I love watching her make-up tutorials and huge make-up hauls. She does great wearable neutral looks, but she also plays around with fun and bright colours a lot which I find the most inspiring.

Last but not least I love watching essiebutton. Estée doesn’t only do beauty related videos, but those are my favourites. She just seems like such a cool and fun girl, and I really enjoy watching her videos.

That’s it. Please feel free to leave comment with your favourite beauty YouTubers, and I will definitely check them out:)

Blue eyes

DSC_3956DSC_3963 Here’s the make-up I wore with this outfit. I decided to continue in the colour scheme of my outfit when I did my make-up, and I really like how it turned out.

(Eye make-up: base – MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly, eye shadows – MUA Ever After Matte eye shadow palette (shade: fade) + Rimmel Glam’eyes HD eye shadow quad in 003 Royal Blue (all shades except a black one) + Stila All Over Shimmer highlighter (lightest shade on browbone), mascara – Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express, eyeliner – MUA Intense Colour eyeliner in Snow White. Lipstick – Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in 001 Honey)

Lovely colour scheme

Here’s what I wore Tuesday September 9. I love the colour scheme of this outfit. And the denim on denim which is not so striking, because it’s two different colours. Oh, and it was the first time I wore the creepers I bought in England, and I LOVE them!

(Jeans – Cheap Monday, shirt – Vero Moda, T-shirt – Gina Tricot, necklace – H&M, creepers – The Fabulous Creepers)

Ultimate liquid lipsticks

Revlon Ultimate Liquid Lipsticks

I wrote about this Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick (which I’m wearing here) a month ago, and back then I had only worn it once on top of a lipstick which wasn’t a good idea, but on its own it’s really good. So I went out and bought three more colours (from the top); Brilliant Bordeaux, Top Tomato, and Premium Pink. These liquid lipsticks dry matte even though they have shimmer in them (?) and they literally last all day on the lips. Pictures of me wearing them will be on the blog in the future.

Old favourite(s)

Here’s what I wore Monday September 8. The T-shirt is an old favourite that I hadn’t worn in a really long time, so I decided to wear it with some other old favourites of mine; the skirt and the booties.

(Skirt – H&M, kimono + T-shirt + booties – Monki, tights – Primark, bracelets + earrings – Spinning)
